Shall I get rid of Manual Mode?

That is what I did. After a hard landing when I switched to manual and the S800 dropped like a rock on 50% throttle, it was completely my fault I could not add throttle fast enough, I was only 6' up above the hard driveway. I broke 2 arms and a part of the Zenmuse cracked, both easily fixed...

    S800 WKM Zenmuse test

Not a lot of wind but enough to knock the S800 around a bit. 3-4mph gusting maybe 12-15mph a few times. You could see the 800 get kicked about a bit. I was real happy to see how well the Zenmuse handled it. This is raw footage no post stabilization. Flying with 2 6000 30-70c in parallel...

    Issues getting motors to ARM

You are moving joysticks to the lower left and right when trying to start motors right. This will idle them up and you have 3 seconds to move throttle up above 10%. If you dont they will stop again and you have to do the restart again. I am sorry if this is not what is wrong, I am not tying to...

F450 and Naza M not holding altitude(Solved) and questions

Doug, I hate acronyms but use them anyway, go figure... It is the times we live in. The really confusing thing is if you are in many different disciplines the same acronyms mean different things. Like SW can stand for short wave or soft ware. I should be more specific. You are not thick, this...

    Tip over on landing

I tend to land and take off in Atti not GPS. GPS is really only accurate to 10' or so, for me at least. It seems better after flying for a while most of the time, but not always. Sometimes it will hold within inches other times within 10' or so, and it will change during a flight. Probably due...

F450 and Naza M not holding altitude(Solved) and questions

The SW/FW I mentioned is for the 800 with WKM, it just came out a few days ago, I thought I made that clear, maybe not. It was a big improvement on the 800. My point was that the 450 & 550 are also very smooth with Naza and E-Props. The balanced Graupners are great. The only problem I had with...

Please help : Sony NEX-7 and Zenmuse do not fit together

I think you have to order it for the 7, and I believe there is a kit you can get to convert it, or you can send it in to be retrofitted. Call your dealer. There is also a different kit for the Pany. The CG is really critical for the Zen so it is affected even by adding a filter. I had to...

F450 and Naza M not holding altitude(Solved) and questions

It has been mentioned here many times, prop balance and CG balance is very important. I also have 450 and an S800 w/Zen and a 550.The S800 is fantastic so smooth now with the new SW an FW update. But so is my 450 I love flying it after flying the 800. It is so tiny and responsive. I use the...

    POI problems

BorisS, yes I am trying to use the roll (ailerons) control to circle, both speed and direction, I should be able to circle clockwise or counter clockwise as I understand it. And I use the pitch (elevator) to change the diameter. And the throttle channel should control your elevation as usual.

    POI problems

Maybe I just can't interpret the manual. But I can't seem to get POI working on my WKM, latest FW installed 2 days ago. I set it to control 2. Assigned a 3 position switch, and it shows correctly in the Assistant SW when switching modes. However when flying the course lock works fine. But I...

Battery Chargers - advice / help

I think this is as good a dual charger as you can get: http://www.hyperion-world.com/products/product/HP-EOS0720iSDUO3 But be careful as deanot mentions and follow charging instructions for your battery, usually 1c, in other words a 5000mAh, should be max 5 amps. There are some batteries that...

    Naza throttle stuck high!

You don't have to start the props, to range test, just switch the modes and observe if the LED changes the way it should, step back at least 100' (30M) using the range test option in your TX. That is how I do the range test with my DJI's and my Futabas.

Oregon Senate Bill 71 would ban FPV flying and "drones"

There are countries that make it illegal to fly FPV w/o a second operator that keeps aircraft in line of site and can take over if there is a problem. I think this is a very sane approach. And I support legislating something like that here in the US. I also support requiring a license and...

    F550 project - Any advices?

I have a 450 and a 550, both flown many hours. I use the stock motors so far no problems at all. The Naza works well, I do have an S800 with WKM an I think the Naza for the smaller Flames works very well if you only need 1 axis gimbal tilt control. I use the Zenmuse on the 800 so I have not...

    Bootcamp for mac...help

I am not sure but RC-drones may use Empire as distributor, if so you can try contacting Empire direct: http://www.empirerc.com/contact_us.php I did this when I had a bad Naza, mine would not keep gimbal level and produced erratic flight at times, and my dealer told me to call them, I did and...

I think solid red is "bad attitude status". Check the manual. It usually goes away. Maybe your Naza is bad, contact your dealer. Blinking red is normal for un programmed NAZA.

    WKM 5.18 Firmware update available

Barometric pressure changes all the time and GPS is only accurate to 3m (10' vertically) AT BEST, now repeatability can be better. This means that there must be something other than just position to indicate that the craft has landed, at least if I did the programming. This could be sensing the...

    Bootcamp for mac...help

Are your ESC's and motors hooked up when trying this? I just looked at your photos, I always do this with assembled heli and props off (for safety), I think the Naza need to see the esc's and possible the motors. I have had problems using Sbus as well with Futaba, conventional works better...
