As the proud new owner of a Taranis radio I have NO clue how to set it up but figured a thread might help others like me setup what appears to be an awesome radio with our awesome flight controller. I've got the radio that comes with the X8R receiver, is this a good rx? My knowledge is limited...

It never ends! I just found a Taranis Radio in stock and bought it, woohoo! I can finally hang with the cool kids :) Now I just have to get my 2nd Super X and I'll be set.

I'm not sure on the ESCs, I always just used Turnigy Plush or RCTimer/SimonK escs with the Hoverfly Pro. Glad you figured out the setup client!

Yeah I missed my window... Range Video here in the States had 3 in stock last week but I didn't order. Now it looks like they are out everywhere. I'm interested in the regular module but also the ability to add on the EZUHF module, that seems like the ultimate in versatility!

Ahh yes, that's right. Auto level activates with PH. I knew they combined something I just forgot which! Guess that would explain your throttle sensitivity since it's not actually in AH mode.

If I recall the PH activates altitude hold now, didn't use to be that way, so any throttle stick movements I think act as a change in altitude. However, it seems like there should be a bit of a deadband in there so it shouldn't be too sensitive. Paul
