Other side looks worse. The LHS has a 550 Base kit in stock. So i might as well just buy that for $50 and have some extra parts on hand. After looking at this closer i don't think Solder will work.

After a prop failure I did a rebuild and one motor wouldn't spin up. I thought it was a bad ESC so i replaced it. That wasn't the problem. Noticed this hairline crack in the board where that exact motor arm mounts. Can this be repaired with solder or do I need a new bottom plate?

I also have the same landing gear and GoPro gimbal. It's great on the 550. I had a DJI prob break mid flight and bent the 2 tubes that slide into the landing gear and hold the gimbal and battery on. Do you know where I can find some the same size diameter. I don't want to pay the shipping from...

I agree with you Tstrike. I should have upgraded the props. If you don't like these posts then don't respond to them. I respect what your saying but I also had a 450 Lose a prop. That was a stock bird with no extra weight on it. The props were new and had never touched the ground. Explain that...

I have only had problems with 2 10" props breaking. Never any problems with the 8" and I flew those 8" hard on my 450.

I am aware not to over tighten the prop nut. It was in FFF at 30.8 mph but I am sure that wasn't the cause of failure. The rig was not over weight at all. I have seen much bigger landing gear and gimbals with Larger cameras on them. I had a prop break on a 4' hover with my 450. That had no...

What's funny is you never see anyone from DJI respond to a forum post. Probably because they are cowards and won't come out from the rock they hide under. I see many manufacturers respond to posts about their products and try to fix the problem. DJI must keeps shi**ing in the bowl and selling it...

Yes, mid 80's here. When the same thing happened on my 450 it was low 80's. I don't think it is temp related. They seem to break at the same place leaving about a 1/4 left extending from the hub.
