    Gimbal for SkyJib and DSLR

Zen is the best and easiest to set up. Cant use your Nikon on it though. Also its 3 axis so youll need retracts to pan the zen.

Aerial Media Pros heavy lift kit prop question

T motors makes the best props. Bigger props will give you more lift and longer flight times. Smaller is better for stability.

    Camera specific gimbles

They make them so people dont have to balance cameras on their own. It is a turnkey no fuss solution. I also don't see the point because of their lack of flexibility.

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

3 axis on follow mode is definitely the way to go with a 1 operator setup if you can swing it. Unless you're flying a sony cam with boss stabilization.

Need suggestions on most suitable platform

Do you have any flying experience? Buy a couple of S800 EVOs with Zenmuse for GH3. Get big lipos. Retracts. Jeti has the best radios. You have a lot of work to do in a month - especially if you don't have flying experience. Don't forget these things are very easy to fly into the ocean...

    Y6 Builders thread

Finally got a maiden up today. Not good. Not good at all. I could really use some help from you guys on this one. Running WKM 5.16. Started off in GPS mode - she flew great for about 2-3 minutes. I landed to check the heat on the motors and escs. Everything flew fine and heat was fine...

    Questions for multi-rotor vets...

If you go Y6 you can put on much larger props which = more flight time. You will sacrifice a bit of time going coax, but you will fly better in wind and be able to go much larger on props - you'll also need lower kv motors. Flight time is low kv motors and bigger props.

    Great tip for balancing props

I guess I should clarify, I was balancing 15 inch t motor props. They definitely have hub issues. I think 2 of the 6 had blades out of balance and 5 had hubs out. I haven't flown the props yet, but the tape sticks really well. I had to remove a couple of pieces and it took a bit of effort...

    Great tip for balancing props

Just came across this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Unique-LD-36-Tourna-Lead-Tape/dp/B00124KUBC It's exactly what I've been looking for to balance hubs. I had been using Super Glue, but it was a pain in the a** and left a bunch of white residue. I still like to use Scotch tape to balance the...

    Lipo Battery C rating

Yep. All depends on your payload and flight time expectations though.

    PDB Soldering Help Please!!

Finally found some time to work on my new Y6. Soldering the thickest PDB I've ever had. I'm having a hell of a time just getting the ESCs on there. They just don't seem to be taking. I'm using a Weller 100/140 watt gun with rosin core unleaded solder. Not using any flux - just trying to...

    GH3 Settings and Practices?

Bitrate question: Do you prefer 60p ipb 50 mbps or 60p All intra 72mbps or 24p all intra 72mbps or 24p ipb 50 mbps Weve been shooting 24/72, but I'm not sure if that is best for aerials. Does 60 stabilize better in post?

    Alexmos wha??????

Sorry, I misunderstood. If you rebalance then footage will be good, but rebalancing on the Zen is not easy and sometimes not possible depending on the lens.

    Latest AlexMos fw

Is anybody out there using the latest? I don't really have time right now to wade through 75 pages of forums at that other site. Is it working well? Am I safe downloading it on our primary rig? Thanks, TB
