PC Ground Station, Ace One WP and 900M Datalink to be discontinued

I downloaded the free GgCS. After a bit of trial & error I was able to get the connection via my 900 MHz DJI datalink. Now that I better understand the software, it connects and functions very well. I will be upgrading to the paid version. i am very happy that my DJI datalink is still a useful...

    Heavy-Lifter Build. *Urgent*

Ours is a proprietary Bus Bar System. It has been part of our larger format kits for about 4 years now. The system can be ordered pre-soldered when purchasing on of our kits. Here is a recent X8 ESC plate with the ESC & Bus Bars installed. The Plastic covers have been removed so the Bus Bars can...

    Heavy-Lifter Build. *Urgent*

We have also reached out to T-Motor about the Flame 80 and have NOW (today) been advised of their recent change of Flame 80 use with the U7. I wish to provide a bit of Caution as advice.... While we have TONS of systems flying currently with the U7 and the T80a, we have none flying with the...

    Heavy-Lifter Build. *Urgent*

Just a FYI. The flame 80 is not recommended for the U7 Motors. The correct ESC is the T80a. Also, the EC5 is not rated for enough amps.... everything will overheat or shut down.... You need Progressive RC PR6 or Castle 6.5 mm connectors for this amp eater..... There is way more to consider here...

The future of "Stand Alone"Multirotor Flight Controllers- A Trend? The End?

Are we are quickly seeing the "traditional" multi rotor FC being discontinued? I have been noticing the slow and obvious move by the BIG electronics manufacturers moving away from the stand alone Flight controller. Companies like DJI, SuperX, Hoverfly, FreeFly, Tarot & 3DR are all moving to a...

PC Ground Station, Ace One WP and 900M Datalink to be discontinued

E-mail of displeasure sent to DJI. For us that helped support (from the beginning when he was living in an apartment) & build DJI into the Monster it has now become, I find this announcement just another kick in the teeth to those that have supported DJI from the beginning. We own thousands of...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Sky Jib X4 Ti QR Flight Times

Apple.... You need to look at the mah used..... not the voltage or voltage under load.... The voltage will drop immediately under load, and slowly drop & hit a plateau...and at the end drop suddenly... The key is to figure out what flight time corresponds with 75% use in Mah. And what Voltage...

Oh great... is this true? (registration)

I do not think there has been any change from the FAA direction since it went into comments. Here is how I understand it. 1. Those with 333 exemptions will continue to fly within the scopes of their 333 exemptions and blanket COA. But will still be able to fly in other locations on a site by...

Oh great... is this true? (registration)

My question still stands..... So I register everything .... I go down to the end of the Cleveland Hopkins main runways and fly around causing a near aerial collision. I get scared... land put it into my car and drive away before the authorities reach me...... How will the identify me? "white"...

Oh great... is this true? (registration)

This is the REALLY crazy part of the whole deal..... without hard statistics, but just a gut of all of the "white" "small" "quadcopter" complaints..... seeming to be the most common.... this is what they are fighting to remove from the registration process. Yep..... a "Knee Jerk" response to a...

Oh great... is this true? (registration)

How will they get the FC#? If the aircraft is not captured? Also.... what about the 100,000 FC that are being used and do not need a firmware update?

Oh great... is this true? (registration)

So... I am confused... How will registration help them identify violators? Unless the aircraft is damaged or captured, how will they know who it belongs to? The ONLY way I know is to require a transponder...... but do you really believe that a Phantom 1 that has been in a box under the bed for 2...

    Throttle on Pixhawk

We do not recommend to our clients that you calibrate all at once. Sometimes they all do not go into calibration mode & 4 of 6 will calibrate. I would test with all 6 plugged into the harness into RX and see if they all seem to act the same. If not go back & re-calibrate one at a time & verify...

    Throttle on Pixhawk

Curious.... Have you tried plugging all of the ESC into the RX via a "medusa snake" or Vulcan ESC programming tool? http://www.uavshop.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=370 You can make your own Medusa snake ... one in 6 or 8 out.... I ask to figure out if it is the ESC/Motors or the FC....

Windows 10 naza assistant no worky

Pumpkin, This is the way NAZA V2 acts on take off. It was intentionally done as a take off helper for novice flyers. I complained about it when V2 was first released, even posted on MRF.... Some like it some hate it.... I requested that DJI allow the users to chose it as a setting...... No...

When your bird does not want to Arm...

You have not data posted on the aircraft specifications... This is why the 1st guess is ESC throttle calibration. So it sound like a DJI aircraft....S1000....etc... Here are a few other things that can cause no arming. 1. Have you done the TC stick calibration in the A2 assistant? 2. Have you...

Just an obvious... make sure it is part of your commercial flight gear..... FIRE EXTINGUISHER!!! Coffee can with SAND and METAL thongs!!! Just about EVERY AMA flight field I have been on have both!

hoo boy....1.9 million civil penalty! that's a lot of photos!

My answer... This has nothing to do with the current regulations, but rather a simple matter of violation of Class B airspace... Airspace restrictions have always existed... violations of that airspace and easy charge to make with minimal evidence... Kind of like charging Al Capone with Tax...

hoo boy....1.9 million civil penalty! that's a lot of photos!

They were given a 333 exemption back in April.... They filed for only one aircraft a Trex 770E... single rotor.... Their exemption is very specific to flying under VERY specific conditions..... vacant undeveloped properties..etc.... The typical restrictions for a blanket COA.... I would not be...
