The LED plugs into the X1 channel on the NAZA, not F1

no need to take the props off, when you connected to the computer it gets arms the motors. you can verify this by the color of the border line around the MC Output icon. that would be such a pain to keep taking your props of every time you connected the flight controller to the computer.

I only get the 4 green blinks when it's connected to the USB. It flashes yellow when hovering and also flashes yellow when the sticks are moved. Only flashes red when the voltage drops below the first protection. At least that's how mine works.

I use the stock DJI motors and 10" Graupners on my F550 and it is totally fine. But now that I'm at 6 pounds with all my gear the motors are running 140 degrees. I might go to this setup: http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=408971

The landing gear should come with that square bracket (at least mine did). That's where the GoPro gimbal attaches to if you buy the gimbal. Since I have a Sony Nex5n and no gimbal, he made this adapter plate for my to attach my Sony to the rails.

I have mine in airplane mode. You should teather it down somehow so it can only get a few inches off the ground to test to make sure everything is working correctly. When you got 3 feet off the ground was it flying lever from the ground up to 3 feet? If so, then maybe your NAZA isn't set up...

My ESC's are the stock 30 Amp OCTO's I didn't think to check the temp of the ESC's. These guys have their F550 at 8 pounds on DJI everything stock except for Graupner props and saying the stock DJI motors only get warm. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1582036

I have a F550 and tried manual for the first time while hovering and I don't like it. I'm sure I can mellow it out with expo but being a beginner and having FPV gear, landing gear, and my Sony Nex5n attached I'm perfectly happy in ATTI mode.

I have 4 pretty new Turnigy Nano-Techs 4500 4s batteries and I think they work great and they're only $38 from the US warehouse. I get just about 10 minutes of hovering on each battery on my F550 at 4lbs 9oz.

Just get the 10" Graupners, they're a direct fit, mo modification needed.
