Mikrokopter Currents on left side BL of an octo are lower then on right side

Two things to check. 1. Did you carefully check the balance of the copter on the ground? A static balance check? If you are out of balance then the motors that are running harder are probably on the heavy side and vice versa. see...

    SmartOSD for Sale

Actually for precision it looks like you have escaped since you are outside the main cell block on the eastern hill. Zooming in on Google Earth I think I see your striped jammies. Better ditch those before the swim....

Well if his location is correct that would be Alcatraz Island in San Francisco. So if Ted is really locked up might be a CON :) artist scam... Just kidding Ted. Nice location though.... I have the SmartOSD and have been very happy with the performance. Support has been good for a small...

Two clients want me to fly their RED EPIC cameras - advice?

Chris Maybe I am missing something on the link page about the Hercules BEC. Doesn't look like any of those are available for the type of amps of even the MK BL's. Looked like the highest was a 10amp continuous/20amp peak. Gary

    balancing props

I've had two. One is the model with a magnet at each end. Less than satisfactory results. Second which is excellent is the Du-Bro. HobbyKing looks somewhat similar to the mag that i had. They also have this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7702...

    Locktite

Would suggest not using Loctite Blue 242. They make Purple 222 which is plenty strong for our applications. It 222 is more appropriate for small screws. Still locks it but easier to 'break' than Blue. Tougher to find but you can get it at Amazon. Gary

Anyone know what this connector is called?

Also might be called a 'pico' connector. Found an interesting video over at progressiveRC.

Anyone know what this connector is called?

2 pin molex check www.hansenhobbies.com He might not have them on the website but might be able to do a special order. Gotta tell you that if you are thinking of making your own that those crimp connectors are a pain in the *** to work on. Gary

Two clients want me to fly their RED EPIC cameras - advice?

Benjamin let us know what you hear back from Tabb. Just saw a couple of new videos. One where Tabb flew 18 lbs and then 30lbs of weight on a CS6. The 18 lbs was pretty spritely. Also a new vide from QC with a 5 lb weight on a CS8 with the 360 gimbal. QC posted some info on the battery...

Two clients want me to fly their RED EPIC cameras - advice?

Send a message to Quadrocopter or to Tabb directly. The answer I got steered me away. While he shows it flying it wasn't ideal. I just did some testing a couple of weeks ago. 4.5kg and flight times were short and was drawing about 100amps total. I saw they just a test of the system with...

Mikrokopter Mikrokopter firmware 0.88m available with new MKtool 1.78b

Bart I've been running my CS8 on the latest, probably about 2 weeks after it came out. I think there have been two versions of .88. I am on the latest .88m and haven't had any problems. .88e was for Hott V3. .88m is for Hott V4. Upgrade straight forward (screen shots of existing config or...

    Mikrokopter v0.88 emergency-throttle settings

I think this was answered elsewhere but the folks at quadrocopter.us (Jeff) tested this. While it starts out insanely fast between 10 and 20 meters it slows down. Holger posted something similar. The trouble is having the nerves of steel to allow your investment to truly enter the...

    Does cloud affect GPS hold?

Depends greatly on solar activity. I an attest that if things are into the yellow on the attached website things begin to act strangely and if it is in the RED stay on the ground or don't use GPS at all. http://www.n3kl.org/sun/images/noaa_kp_3d.gif?

One of you tried these yet ! Sony CX 730

Twister, agree. The stills were rather poor and you can't shoot a still while in movie mode. I am primarily a still photographer. Have the Sony NEX-7 and a Nikon D800e on order. Probably will trade out the NEX7 for the D800 since most of my images are printed 36-90 inches wide. Gary

So vislaw you are right it isn't CGI. Got a nice note from the art show who pointed me the gallery that represents the artist. http://www.st-artgallery.nl/index.html. Can't tell from the latest creation what the heck a 'Proctorcopter" is. Probably don't want to know. With so many scams on...
