How to get rid of the icons in live-view on SONY NEX-5N ???

I recently installed a OSD (Eagle Tree OSD Pro + eLogger V4 150 A) on my DJI S800 /Zenmuse / Sony NEX - 5n. Got everything working so far, but a real annoing thing is the camera's setting icons in Live-view...with the informations displayed from the OSD, those icons are really disturbing....didn't even notice them before using the OSD, but now they are irritating, but I don't seem to be able to completely switch them off. There is a menu in the camera to switch display infos off, but a few icons are still there.

Found some infos in a German forum, where they said it's not possible to switch the icons off completely, but maybe one of you guys found a way to switch them of.....It's hard to believe that this should not be possible

Thanks in avance for any input.

Thanks for the answer, Hitting the radial button makes most of the icons disappear (if set in the menue), but for some reason I just can't get rid of all icons....some (like the dial wheel icon) still remain on the screen, even if everything is set to NOT display infos on the screen. I never had that with any camera before....

I just want a clear screen with no infos.....

Hi Chris! I hope you don't mind me jumping in and asking a question as my searches on my topic has only turned up this thread.

Im going to be hooking up my Eagletree system with my Zen and was wondering how the A/V wires hook up. As you know the Eagletree has servo type ends. Can you explain how that layout works?

Best,
Jamie

No problem....it's pretty easy:

From the Zen comes the cable with the "phone jack" on one side and 3 bare wires (white - signal, red - power+ and black - ground). The phone jack gets plugged into the Zen and on the other side you need only white/aignal and black/ground. On these wires you either crimp them like normal servo wires (signal - top, middle stays emty and black at the bottom....you don't need the red wire. If you don't have a crimping tool like in the vid, just take a servo plug with wire, cut it to lenght and solder it together with the wires coming from the ZEN.
Then just plug the servo plug to the Eagle Tree as per manual to Video IN....from the Eagle Tree (Video Out - signal wire and ground wire) you connect it to your Video Transmitter.

About servo cable crimping you can also read this thread:

Hey Chris, do you have any pics of where you put your Eagletree stuff on your s800? I'm not the best at clean installs with alot of wiring. Would be great to see yours! :)
