uploading more sample footage of the XM-6 in a moment. Getting tuned up quite nicely now.
Theres some wobble that I'm not happy with, and the gains on the gimbal need diailing up a little. I'll continue this week to test. I've sorted out the wobble on the motors, it was just ESC's that needed a recalibration.

NICE legs.... but wheres yours? U got new retracts?

I could show you my legs but it might ruin the last post. Anyway I do have a pic of the retracts they need a little tweaking for heavy lifters, but here ya go. We used the frame so we can test the SJ8, we were given the retracts on that day.
The frame idea does have its pros, like longer flight times is a big one. Still like having legs though and these retracts are light.

Cheers

That AD6 looks great! :D what is the advantages of a Z15 with a sony nex over a AV130 with a DSLR, surely the dslr can produce better video and stills. I don't understand?
(im a newbie)

-Thanks

here is a picture of mine . Droidworx AD 6 with Wookong ,Axi motors , Graupner 11x5 props , crash cage , custom made flight controller mount, 2 axis gimbal , Gopro hero 2, Video downlink, Night orientation LEDs
I use 2 x 4000mah 3S batteries in Parallel which give me 11 mins flight time ( down to 3.7 V per cell unloaded)
Total weight 2.9 kg (With everything inc batteries)
The only difference from the pic is that i have removed the GPS disk and mounted it in the middle of the roll cage and i am yet to take a pic of that new setup.

first real skyjib 8 outing

Hi Dave ,
Had her out today (skyjib not the misus) down at the Mourne mountains doing some shot's and practice and have to say it flies like a dream,ie ascends, descends yaws, banks all so smoothly(credit go's to Geoff and Paul @ quadcopters.co.uk for thr build /setup quality, it make me look like im acutely a descent pilot... lol
My photographer friend was doing a shoot for some background shot for a project and offered to do us some for free :) turns out it was a lovely 100ft dam in a valley :) but only got a half our in the air all day as the fog came in badly and we couldnt see the av downlink through the dense fog, still got some nice stuff which i will post some ofView attachment 8397View attachment 8389View attachment 8390View attachment 8391View attachment 8392View attachment 8393View attachment 8394View attachment 8395View attachment 8396View attachment 8388 up when i get a chance to go through it .
