Quadcopters.co.uk Drone Specialists
I today have discovered that there is a website just sprung up called w ww.quadcopter.co.uk yes you might say a very similar name to my very own website www.Quadcopters.co.uk
Firstly I have absolutely nothing what so ever to do with this site , and secondly they are clearer implying they own my domain also Quadcopters.co.uk
I have spent a lot of time on the phone today trying to discover who is behind this site that is clearly selling nothing but cheap toy helicopters and a conrad copy , and the Parrot Drone.

They have no contact details on there website, however this seems to be a growing trend in todays market place.
They make countless references to the term "Quadcopters" again another growing trend and heavily used by some of the other Sellers in the Uk that now sells Multirotors.
And it does look like to me they are drop shipping goods from China , Yet another growing trend used to sell at to good to be true prices. Although the prices on that site do not appear to be too cheap .

If anybody wants to risk there well earned cash using this site , then I again say this Publicly the site Quadcopter.co.uk is nothing to do with me in anyway shape or form .
I am not affiliated with any other company in the UK as I am getting a growing amount of telephone calls asking am I affiliated with quadcopter.Heliguy as they heavily use the term Quadcopters in all there google ad campaigns and also added the subdomain quadcopters to there existing one .

I just wanted to clear these things up.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
geoff,
sorry to hear it....who needs that kind of aggravation when they're already doing the best they can for people?

similar situation here in the US, quadrocopter.us, a site sponsor and reputable MK dealer has to deal with quadrocopterS.us going to their competition who is not quite so agreeable to deal with.

Best thing for everyone is to just click the advertising links on these pages to be redirected to the correct sites.

THanks for supporting the site Geoff and quadrocopters.co.uk!

Cheers!

He may get a few unsuspecting victims to fall in his web. But we all know you're the real Geoff. I would make sure to keep bumping this thread to the top of the forums. Sorry you gotta deal with this crap.

I spoke to Geoff on Thursday for the first time.

Really helpful and came across as very honest. All much apreciated.

I hope to be calling Geoff again tomorrow to place an order.

Thanks Geoff.

If you want a real heads up on who NOT to deal with then don't buy your camera etc. from Simply Electronics. They exploit the Chinese Law in every respect. They would not get away with it in Europe or the US. After a few weeks you might get you money back through paypal but in the meantime these guys are holding millions interest free. It is a big scam so don't be tempted by cheap prices on any goods.

Thanks for reminding me. Something I meant to do with my recent website. registered my domain name with an "s" after it.

I have setup a number of websites for myself and clients over the years and it is always good practice to register domain names that are close to the one you want to use. The cost is negligible compared to the pain you get for not doing it.

Cheers
Rob

I will never trust websites without real contact information any more after i made a big mistake and ordered some stuff on a "fake" site some years ago.
Now i always check the contact data first :D

I hate it when jokers trade off the back of a well known and respected company. I bought my F450 Naza kit from Geoff about 3 weeks ago and as a complete beginner there was no way I would have survived without the help of a bona fide specialist like Geoff. Great service, great product and all at the end of a phone line. If they dont have a phone number its because they dont want pestering with all the phone calls regarding shoddy goods they have sold.

Geoff, I would say that this is a genuine case of "passing Off" and would contact trading standards, there is even a chance the domain could be taken away from them if push hard enough.
