Im struggling to get any concrete info online ab out this kind of setup and exactly what features I would be losing.

My understanding is that you will lose camera control features such as start/stop recording and shutter control etc. (I can live with that).
My main concern is controlling the gimbal pitch - DJI told me I would be able to control the pitch:

But then I read in another post that you may not be able to smoothly control the pitch?

So now Im confused and I don't seem to be able to get anywhere.

If anyone can assist I would be very grateful.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that you can buy a Phantom 4 for the exact same price as a Lightbridge 2. The phantom has lightbridge built in, and obviously provides the copter, battery, charger, camera, etc., too. The cam is GoPro comparable without the fisheye. And, you have way more gimbal/camera control in the Phantom, no camera batteries to change, etc. Worth consideration. If you want a bigger/more powerful option, the Inspire is a nice value.
