F450 Flame frame is not indestructible

No doubt that the 1/2mv^2 energy equation comes into play -- increased mass and a diving cart wheel produces some significant forces on the frame. I still like it as my trainer . . . now if I can only get some spring weather without gusty winds in Virginia. Cheers! Tom

F450 Flame frame is not indestructible

I was flying on a 36 degree morning since the winds were kicking up later on Saturday. Temp dependency is something I hadn't considered.

F450 Flame frame is not indestructible

I ordered a DJI F450 Flame frame kit after watching their Youtube video (http://youtu.be/b5rjDVgJAVQ). They throw it, step on it and even drop it several stories out of window onto the parking lot. I'm here to confirm, while resilient they are not indestructible frames. I've now had to...

Gaui Gaui 300X/500X Forum, as requested

Interesting to learn about the open pilot board. I'm still very green in this hobby. I'll need to do some more research. Not yet, but the geeky side of me is interested in trying someday. The logically side of me says I definitely need some more flight time first.

    Need help on my Naza

kloner and quadcopters are right -- you are probably in failsafe mode in the end positions. See the screen shots below -- you should see the A and M bars change color and the mode name show in the lower right bar. Good luck with the adjustments! Tom Attitude mode >> Manual mode >>

Anyone heard from Robert at DJI USA?

No. I bought a DJI F450 and was so impressed with the NAZA controller I opted to replace the GU-344 in my Gaui 500X.

Gaui Gaui 300X/500X Forum, as requested

I flew my DJI F450 for the first time last weekend. The NAZA controller was sooooo easy to set up using a PC computer on it I ordered a second for my Gaui 500X. From what I have seen and read the Naza controller is far superior to GU-344. I should be giving it a run this weekend weather...

Anyone heard from Robert at DJI USA?

Sounds like Yuri is finally getting some resolution. I will throw in my positive feedback for John W. with AddictiveRC,LLC/RcHobbyHelicopter. I have placed several orders with John over the past few weeks and he has always been EXTREMELY responsive in getting my purchases to me ASAP. He even...

    Gaui Gaui 500X Motor Mounts

I'm curious if any other 500X flyers have experienced problems with the motor mount rotating out of the notch slot. I have had two that have broken the tab on the mount and now will not stay properly aligned. I am replacing them but I was interested to see what experience others have had with...

I like your solution QuadFlyer. I have to admit I haven't logged enough flight time on my Gaui yet to notice any wire wear.

LiPo 2600 mAh 3-cell 11.1v AR Drone Battery Pack

This a new, never flown battery. It's size was too large for my application. My miscalculation can be your gain! This is a high-performance LiPo battery pack for the Parrot AR.Drone. The perfect high-capacity upgrade from the stock pack, this pack boasts a large capacity of 2600mah for...

Gaui 500 set up for AP/FPV

Jamie -- Following a hard cartwheel landing of my DJI F450 Flame frame quad yesterday I found that the frame IS NOT indestructible. I managed to break and arm. I decided last night to move the Naza controller over to my Gaui 500X that I was just completing repairs on (starting to get a sense...
