Looked somemore, believe that 5vdc is not being supplied from the cable to the telemetry port. If I stimulate with external 5vdc, it works.

I am so down and out. When the OSD is plugged into the FTDI converter, the video passes thru to my Fat Shark, and I see the message, waiting on the heartbeat. When I then plug in the cable of +5vdc, ground and RX. there is no video out. Guess I need to take a break.

I believe I know what the issues are. I only have 3 wires coming from the APM to the OSD. Will check what is missing tonight, then give it another go.

OK, found the drivers, and now it says waiting for MAVlink heartbeat. Where does that come from.?

So i connected the cables between the two, when i run the OSD update tool, it says cannot contact bootloader. Any suggestions.

Same thing mine did, found I had two props reversed, and the ESC, was connected to the wrong 2 motors, took me about 2 hours to troubleshoot this
