Long time R/C flyer and 'technologist'. I love anything technology and if I want to make something I'll spend weeks or months reading about it and build it. Making something from scratch is very rewarding, but you might still end up with a 'commercial' item because scratch building resources can't always equivilate the resources of a large corportation.
