KK Flight Controller Kk board isn't receiving power

Do you have the USBASP? Will connecting it power up the board? You also have to make sure the ESC BEC is connected to the M1 on the board.

DJI to limit flights over DC and US Borders

I guess I'll be looking elsewhere for a controller for the hex that I'm starting to build up. I'll most likely never fly in those restricted areas, but the fact that I'll be forced not to kinda rubs me the wrong way.

    Central Florida 2015 FPV Meet

Hmmm I looked on google maps and it's only 33 miles from my house. I may consider stopping by to snoop around.

    Temporarily grounded

I don't think I can use that kind, my motors don't have threaded holes on the top of the can (rotor?). I think my only non-collet option is a set screw type.

    Questions on a prop adapter

I posted this thread a couple days ago: http://multirotorforums.com/threads/temporarily-grounded.23142/ Been looking at prop adapters, as recommended, I've been looking at set screw type adapters. Where is a good place to buy them? I measured the motor shaft and it comes to 3.15mm I'm...

    Temporarily grounded

I haven't ordered anything yet, I'll do a search for "short shaft prop adapter" or "flush mount prop adapter". I never was a fan of the collet style ones.

    Temporarily grounded

So I was flying around, mainly just getting the feel of the new weight (camera and 5000mah battery) when it made a loud noise. I dropped throttle and landed hard. Apparently one of my props was cracked and it parted ways with the rest of the craft. It was only about 5-6 ft off the deck and...

    Got it flying

After struggling with El Cheapo pencil soldering irons all my life, my wife got me this soldering station for my birthday. The last straw was when my 60W iron gave up the ghost while I was trying to make a TRX to XT60 battery adapter. It started getting really hot causing me all kinds of...

    Got it flying

It is, but I chose it because it takes great pictures, it was relatively inexpensive (used from eBay). The most important reason is because I can hack it with CHDK, it allows me to control it with the 3 position switch on my transmitter or use the intervalometer and have it take a pic every few...

    Got it flying

Uggh, total Noob mistake tonight. Finally got my USBasp and the flash tool to work on my Win8 laptop and flashed 1.6 firmware to my KK2. I thought I wrote down all the settings, but I guess I missed a few parameters.

    Got it flying

I'm new here, I recently got my Quad flying after having it sit for years unfinished. I'm working out the kinks, so that I can get some nice pictures. I have to get a bigger battery, the 2200mah battery only gives me around 5min, I have to work on the camera control, and get power for the...

    New to MultiRotor Build

Or you can ditch the ESCs and harness by using a 4-in-1 ESC. I just got a Hobbywing Quattro and so far I'm pretty happy with it.

    Hello from Central FL

Finally got around to uploading a pic of my quad. This is as close to where I want it. I still have to figure out how to control the camera. It already has CHDK on it, but I can't find my charger, I'm sure it will turn up. With the 2200mah battery, I'm getting about 5min flights. I have a...

    Hello from Central FL

I'm using the 1.5 firmware. I was going to update it but was having problems getting the USBASP working with Windows 8. I think last time I used my other laptop which is Win 7. I keep that laptop at my SIL's so it's just a matter of getting it from her. The new 4-in-one ESC has given me a new...

    Hello from NC

Welcome, I'm new here too. I had an X5C until I lost it in the woods last week. It is a good flying craft and a good way to learn how to fly. The reason why I lost it is because the range isn't the greatest. There are mods posted online on extending the range, you may want to look into it.
