Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

The M V2 is definitely a safe bet. I only used the term "clone" since the genuine Pixhawks don't seem to be available anymore. There are several "clones" available that seem to be as good as the originals based on what I read and hear. They are all powered by the same open source software...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

The all DJI kit with NAZA M V2 would be a good way to start building. I did one of those during the group build and it was easy to build and flys well. I originally used a JR transmitter and receiver but have since switched to Taranis stuff. I have since built another quad using a DJI 450...

Someone in my small town has 85. Not sure I understand that as I thought one registration covered all your drones.

GetFPV has good assortment of stuff, decent prices, and quick shipping. Of course, I live in FL where they are located.

    Return of the Quad

I didn't lube the bearings but probably should have. I will before flying again. Totally spaced that idea.

    Return of the Quad

Over the last couple of weeks I disassembled the quad, dried all the components, cleaned up everything, tested all the components as best I could and reassembled the quad. The quad is basically a FliteTest wood frame and arms, DJI E300 motors and ESCs, a DJI Naza Lite FC with GPS and a JR...

    Naze32 Arming issues when outside

Is it cold outside. I saw on another forum a guy was having arming problems outside below 40 degrees. Would arm above 40. It was a new naze, rev 5 I think.

    Return of the Quad

No doubt. I've had about enough of this El Niño stuff - it's cutting into my golf and flying.

    Return of the Quad

They are probably still in the tree where I can't see them.

    Return of the Quad

Here's a pic of the poor bedraggled baby. I think the one motor broke off when it returned to home today. Notice how all the red wires have faded to yellow.

    Return of the Quad

Hopefully you folks will get a laugh from this story. I got hooked into the multirotor world during the group build in the spring of 2014 - building a F45o which was fun to build and relatively easy to fly. Being eager for more fun and the opportunity to learn I next built a quad based on one...
