You didn't mention what battery you are using, is it a 3S lipo? Did the motors stall at any point before they stopped working? Not sure that would matter as most brushless esc's have overcurrent protection as far as I know. Also, I had a short between two output wires on a brushless esc and it...

I think they are 9mm. I bought specially made APC 1047 from XaircraftUSA.com. These are not keyed and require the use of an included washer, but they work great. Regular APC props won't work, you need the ones from XaircraftUSA

I read many reports about the X650 V motors not being in plane and level. Also I broke a motor mount very easily in a hard landing. This is why I switched to the XA hexa frame, although I realize it is not a perfect compromise. Russ
