XAircraft Autopilot issues for New Hexa

I just got the same thing thing recently. Actually I took the electronics and motors off a new X650 V-8 that I didn't like and put them on a new hexa frame. I haven't flown the hexa outdoors yet. I assume you have the compass as well. That gave me some yaw issues on the x650 V until I properly...

    Graupner E-prop 9-5"

I use 4S 45C 5000 mAh with the 9 inch props. I had a great test flight yesterday with this setup and no additional payload, but I didn't time it or run my battery all the way down. I should get into the habbit of timing each flight. I bought both the x468 and Aeroxcraft LG/gimbal, but haven't...

    Graupner E-prop 9-5"

What I read was that without washers, the nut (spinner) is only contacting the "Made in Germany" raised letters on the hub, and while it will seem to work for a while, eventually the prop will start spining on the adapter. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1670605 Russ

    Graupner E-prop 9-5"

Without realizing there was something like a prop reamer, I drilled out all six of my new Graupner 9x5s, using the 8mm step in the prop as a drill guide. Of course I understand now that this is not the correct method, but I can't stand the idea of throwing away $70 with of props. The chance of...

XAircraft X650 v8 value and Escs burned

You didn't mention what battery you are using, is it a 3S lipo? Did the motors stall at any point before they stopped working? Not sure that would matter as most brushless esc's have overcurrent protection as far as I know. Also, I had a short between two output wires on a brushless esc and it...

XAircraft What other props for X650 motors? I bought some I thought would fit...

Hi Kilby: I just measured mine with a very good micrometer, and the round (larger part) is definitely 9mm on my motors. Did you use a washer at the base? Russ

XAircraft What other props for X650 motors? I bought some I thought would fit...

I think they are 9mm. I bought specially made APC 1047 from XaircraftUSA.com. These are not keyed and require the use of an included washer, but they work great. Regular APC props won't work, you need the ones from XaircraftUSA

    XAircraft X650 frame arm

I read many reports about the X650 V motors not being in plane and level. Also I broke a motor mount very easily in a hard landing. This is why I switched to the XA hexa frame, although I realize it is not a perfect compromise. Russ

XAircraft got my hexa, some newbie questions...

I have a Xaircraft hexa and the DJI 550 Hexa. I'm using standard XA motors (2215) for the XA hexa which probably leaves it a little underpowered as the XA hexa (and DJI for that matter) are heavy frames because of the plastic arms. The DJI motor/esc combo is more powerful and has a higher max...

XAircraft Erratic Heading Readings Not Caused by Compass

Nevermind - I figured it out. I hadn't calibrated the compass correctly. I feel like an idiot now, but happy that it is working. Russ

XAircraft Erratic Heading Readings Not Caused by Compass

I'm getting erratic heading readings with myFC1212-P/AHRSv2/Compass/Autopilot - giant shifts in readings with minimalrotation (yaw). The short version of the story is that, after extensivetesting, I really think the problem is in the AHRSv2, and not the compassitself. The Longer version of the...
