In addition to what you have listed, I have sunny sky v3508 700 kV motors. Though I don't recommend this for your first build as it's a little tight spaced to work with. Also this frame isn't as forgiving in a crash. I would build a flame wheel first and later transfer your equipment to the 680...
So how much does a buzzard weigh compared to a Phantom? A flock of geese? The point is, in a midair collision, which would be more harmful... I do agree that manned aircraft have the right away but society gets to over reactive. Thank goodness we have laws to collect money form those who break...
I would go a little further back. It don't look like enough working room. May help to add some shrink tubing over the rest of the neg like, a piece on the twisted portion. Then a piece over the cable end, overlaping it like a sleeve.
I bought some cf's from eBay and had to sand them to balance(side to side) but I think the hubs are off. Since they're stiffer, the vibration makes my hex touchy and affects the flight controller. I put the nylon fiber back on and all is smooth again. I haven't tried to further balance them yet...
I have two 550 hexacopters (one that I built to sale) and a quad that's made on a hex frame. They all use NAZA lites w/GPS. I'm in the process of adding a video transmitter so I can see what I'm recording with a Mobius camera. Just simply recreational for me though.
Hi Dixon! It's nice to see another from my area :-) I live in Moncks Corner. I've been at this for 6 mos and have built 3 so far. Addicted, yes. Wife supporting so far, lol.
