It'd be nice if they'd stay out of my hair as long as I'm inside my property lines and not in 'proximity' to other manned aircraft. Sort of like the DMV/Police can't really do anything if I or my car doesn't have a license while I'm on private land. Oh well.
For me, a commercial forum would help to understand just how far the FAA will stick it's nose in my attempts to enjoy the hobby. The last thing I want is to get on their radar in a bad (or any) way. Of course, it could also make me decide that it's just not worth the hassle for the experience I...
Yeah. I see your point. Guess I'm just having trouble adjusting to the new forum layout here. And a bit frustrated at the hoops that have to be jumped courtesy of fed dot gov just for me to try to learn and have a little fun. But this is a discussion better not had or dropped in another forum...
So many years ago, hobbyists were driving the train; people that tinkered with this and that to add a new feature or better the stock performance of something. I completely agree that the Phantom series made it all too easy for idiots to put an eye in the sky. That's a good reason why I'll never...
I had a whole paragraph written up about the 'antithetical' comment Chuck made a few posts up, but decided it was better left unsaid. I think that argument has already been settled and FED dot GOV has come down on the side of big $. Hobbyists will either have to operate 'under the radar' or...
Rebecca needs to get banned by whoever is still an admin on here. The new forum filters don't seem to be working either with the volume of spam threads I've been seeing and they don't get deleted for awhile. Guess Bart really has been busy w/ his personal life.
There might be a static electricity issue with the electronics on the higher voltage lines. Approach with caution certainly on 230kV and above. The company I'm contracted to has started a program or is at least researching it, but I haven't been able to get any info on their equipment or methods...
Not to disparage Bart in any way, but I suspect some of his "brethren" may have an agenda in this regard. Feelings run strong on both sides of the fence. The posts I've seen on Twitter.........
Mine have survived about a dozen batteries and a crash that broke a frame arm. There is the possibility that yours suffered 'infant mortality' and it's just one of those things. They are brush-type motors afterall. I haven't had the time to play with mine like I'd hoped. :( Managed to get some...
I've flown mine in 5-10mph. Tricky but doable. Not so easy buzzing around in the house though. I wish the FPV was closer to realtime.
What is your motor issue?
I'll just set this right here...
