I have the Phantom and Gopro...it is my first copter, and I think it`s brilliant! I have "no" experience of video filming. Only with a pocket digicam and camera on my phone of course. I have no previous experience of RC flying either.
Flew reckless over a forest on a windy day 3.5.2013 with my Phantom... After a few minutes I could not see it anymore :dejection:Went into panic... Neither the homelock nor the fail safe brought it home :dejection:
Searched for hours and hours, put up notes with a picture of it and my phone...

The Phantom looks quite cool& "easy" to fly... could it carry a gopro hero3 + fpv cam/transmitter?
Or could I get the easily calibrated gps& compass, in other words the navigation or auto pilot system to a F550?
This is such cool, nice stuff! :dejection::)
Yeah I read about the modes. For some reason I get a "toyish" feeling about the RTFs, and would like to build it myself.
Have you watched the "Basic multicopter tutorials" on youtube. Here`s the first in series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVxZE0CEUaA
He uses the Turnigy Talon Quad frame...
Thanks a bunch!
Ok I`m a 100% newbie and I just bumped into the whole concept of multicopters on monday :nevreness:
I`m completely overwhelmed and taken by the idea of building one, flying it, beeing able to use FPV and recording full HD video.
Been reading a bit about the KV value of motors...
