    XAircraft SuperX

I can echo what Anthony is saying. I have two copters (UAP2 Y6 and quad, both around 4kg) and both have the tendency to tip when applying throttle to slowing during takeoff. So I just apply something like 20-30% throttle in the beginning, which isn't enough to make it tip and then quickly, but...

XAircraft Align M480 & SuperX left drift while on GPS & Attitude mode

There is definitely something wrong. Even in heavier wind or with the CG off, it should not roll that fast to the left. Maybe there is a left roll trim?

New Sub-Forum, Small UAV Coalition, USA

Thanks Bart, for all your efforts. I joined a the Pro level, even if I'm just doing this a hobby right now. For me it's very important that the Small UAV Coalition does not only support Professional/Commercial interest, but the hobbyist as well.

    anaka HL build

Ah, that's important that the nuts are fixed. Makes the folding much easier. Thanks! I also like to put my ESCs on the arms: better airflow, less crowded between the plates, and short wires save weight.

    anaka HL build

Thanks for the update. I agree that their folding mechanism is very safe and strong, so good for flying. Since you need access to the screws and nuts from the top and bottom, it's nothing you probably want to do a lot of times. And you have to make sure your build allows access to the screws...

I was looking at this frame too, but I was worried that folding the frame is kind of cumbersome. Doesn't look like something I want to do each time I go flying. Are you folding it often?

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

Great flying time with the battery and weight! Where do you got the 16mm 1.5m CF tubes from? I was able to source 2mm wall tubes, but there are quite heavy.

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

Yes, this will be with the CP controller. I already had one on my Y6, but I need to replace it. Turned out it was a prototype board :cold: From the short experience I had with the CP controller, it works well after auto-tune, but still there are still some quirks to iron out. This nice thing...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

I finally finished my quad for a Sony RX100 and 3-axis TP100 gimbal (don't have the gimbal yet) and KDE 475kv motors. Final AUW is now 3.65 kg (with simulated weight for gimbal and camera). I'm very satisfied with the flight time of 12-13 minutes with 80% battery left. Max. speed is 50km/h...

That's a lot of battery strapped to the copter. With a GoPro the flight time should be tremendously long.

Hi Trike, here are a few comments: * As others have pointed out, motor alignment is very critical. I wonder how many DJI users (Naza, WKM, A2) have this issue without ever knowing because they don't have a black box :highly_amused: * With my Y6, when running the same props on top and bottom...

I leave my gain knob at around 20% and just use the main gains in the software for tuning. Mediaguru: that's a fantastic photo with the large moon. Love it!

Airsight 4: A Strong Shouldered Quad

One of the RX pins of the Dragonlink has the RSSI signal. Not sure anymore if this is an analog or digital signal. That's one thing I really like about the Taranis, the telemetry is all built-in and you can play a media track (e.g. voice) when you reach the end of the range. Without a proper...
