I'm guessing that by making the trim adjustment on the Tx, it is no longer able to communicate a full deflection on the stick to the Naza. You should try calibrating your sticks in the Naza assistant (props off, please).

If the Naza is flashing loss of communication, that could be a tx/rx issue, rather than an issue with the Naza. Check connection between receiver and Naza, check Tx battery, antenna connections. Also, make sure you flight modes are configured correctly. If the values on channel 7 (?) are off...

I don't think you should have to be concerned about your transmitter vs. FC *at all*. Your transmitter does not talk to the FC, but rather only to the receiver, and the receiver then to the FC. Make sure you have a receiver that is compatible with your transmitter, and then follow the receiver...
