To follow up the thread I've managed to do another test with one of the lower motor unplugged and the prop secured in parallel to the boom - sort of 'feathering' the prop to prevent it's aerodynamic drag when it is windmilled by the upper prop.
The end result - No change at all~~~ the Y6 still...
Just did a motor failure redundancy test on my newly build Y6. Test 1 failed upper motor with everything went fine, copter in total control. However, in test 2 when I failed one of the lower motors, the copter went into self-spin and unable to be stopped even with full rudder input, resulting in...
Hi guys
Just bought my quad 4 new Sunnysky 2814 800kv motors. When I did some flight tests, I realize the followings:
1147 carbon props:
gone crazy, machine went up with minimal thrust increment, almost uncontrollable vertical movement, impossible to hover. When testing static thrust the...
I recently purchased 4 new Sunnysky V2814s for my quad. When I try to calibrate the throttle range I thought of a problem: should I calibrate the throttle outputs from the WKM or plug them directly to the throttle servo output of my receiver (6208SB)?
GPS/Attitude mode are probably not...
Or better "Cost saving"
Typical Made in China mentality haha.
I did not attempt to contact the manufacturer because I wasn't using the default configuration. (4s vs 3s, 950kv vs 980kv, 1147 vs 1047 prop)
As a conclusion, I suppose these quads are not to be flown under manual thrust...
Setup for a static thrust test with my X650 quad today, holding the craft at hand pointing outward, WKM changed to manual mode and pull full throttle ...... 2 plastic arms snap off and break away in 1 second... :upset:
I notice the breakage position are all the same at the plastic mounts where...
I use the same transmitter/receiver as you do. Thought about that too. Apparently PPM channels 1-8 seems to be mirroring S Bus 1-8. So unless DJI decides to let users select their own S Bus channels for FC connection you are sticker with one channel left.
I end up reverting back to the...
