Could come down to many factors like environment, gps puck position, setup, calibration etc. also looks like your gains are a little high? It will always fly smoother in att mode as the processing speed for the fc isn't so high. If it's drifting like you say then sounds like gps isn't engaging...

Just a thought, we had a pot go bad on our dx9. Luckily we picked it up before any damage was done. We couldn't arm the motors and looking on the assistant it showed the rudder was way off centre. Further testing showed on the servo monitor if a small input was introduced it would go full...

Had a similar issue, had solder flux creating insulation on one of my terminals between esc and motor!

I could show you my legs but it might ruin the last post. Anyway I do have a pic of the retracts they need a little tweaking for heavy lifters, but here ya go. We used the frame so we can test the SJ8, we were given the retracts on that day. The frame idea does have its pros, like longer flight...
