KK Flight Controller I can't believe I have to ask this - wiring of KK

I'll check and take a picture tomorrow. Thanks On Edit: My board doesn't have the onboard programmer, so I didn't recognize at first what your pictures showed. Now that i do, i can see how it works. Thanks so much. I don't see where this board has 'Kudos', but if it did I'd certainly give you...

KK Flight Controller I can't believe I have to ask this - wiring of KK

I bought an inexpensive hexacopter, a dji 550 clone, and it came with a Kk and two connection wires One is a three wire end-to-end standard unit, while the other has one normal end and one end that is three joined black connectors. I wasn't going to use the Kk but the forum seems to think it's...

Gene, l love South Carolina too. Unfortunately my wife's ancestors got driven out before they had free speech there. On the other hand, I'd never have met her if she'd grown up there so maybe it's not such a bad thing. So we will keep visiting at least for awhile.

Actually I am not south at all.....gonesouth is a forum name I picked up a few years ago because I spend most winters in South Carolina or Florida. So i was mostly on forums when I was down south and 'on vacation'. In fact I just sold the Florida house. But I have space behind my property here...

Genesc, Gene, perhaps you missed in my response to Oldman that I am not exposed to the FAA....i.e. I will not be flying in the US, so FAA rules are only useful to me as as guidance to what our regulators may or may not come to someday. I am looking at Bartman's thread and it is a very good and...

Thanks Bartman for the welcome, and for all that you do for the community. I will followup on the group build and the NAZA. I hadn't figured out that either the NAZA or the Mikrocopter can do waypoints so that is very helpful info. I'm not necessarily going to go to waypoint missions just yet...

Old Man, thank you for your thoughtful and considered response. I am thinking of flying missions like inspection tours of my roof and verification videos of my property lines. Perhaps a run out over the river and back.......Luckily I'm not exposed to the FAA, so those issues don't arise yet, but...

    Another hello from Canada

I see it's been a while, but I'm looking for guidance on controllers, so I hope you may still see this. I am looking for a growth path to go from a basic flyer to a unit with GPS homing, and eventually to a planned mission flyer while carrying a camera. I am hoping to stay within a controller...

    Controllers, GPs, Autopilots

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the advice and have bought a cheap quadcopter and am trying to fly it. Once I can successfully fly it, I hope to be part way through building a 550. On that note, I expect I will want to do some autopilot missions......any recommendations on autopilot controller...

I am a complete newbie at this, and considering how to proceed. for background, I'm a mechanical engineer, have extensive experience with controls and process automation, and have been a semi-retired innkeeper for the past 15 years. I have a good friend who has more than extensive electronics...
