I live quite high up in an open rural area so Im pretty sure it doesnt have a problem finding satellites. I'm getting the OSD module in a few weeks so will be able to find out for sure but SatNavs and phones have no probelm getting a strong GPS reception.

We've tried it inside a building, out on the moors and in various other places. It's been left for a good five minutes to see if it'll find a GPS lock and still no response.

I did see that Sleepy but there's a lot of money invested in this and I can't be too careful! I've absorbed a lot of information in the last few months and it's been an intense learning curve but something that I've learned is that relying on personal logic is a fools game! :)

Thanks for the replies! The manual does state that the module will take 3S-6S batteries so I just wanted to clarify before potentially ruining a £400 FC. Is there any benefit to removing the - and + from the ESC inputs?

Does anybody have any experience of using the Ardupilot Mega 2.5 on a heavy lift rig with 3-axis gimbal? I can't seem to find any useable information on it in this sort of set-up and just wondering whether I'd be stupid to try and use it over say the SuperX or Hoverfly Pro.
