Alcohol will strip out all the delicate lubricants so is definitely a no-no. If the water was clean and fresh there's nothing you can do except hope... Another good object lesson for us all, so thank you!

I walked most of the GR221 in January, and obviously saw the big radar from a distance. Personally I'd be very wary about flying near it - the effects will be difficult to predict. Ultimately there's only one way to find out for sure!
Puig Major? I imagine there's a very good chance of electromagnetic interference - there'll be a heck of a lot of radiated power. Presumably you have permission? If so then the military should be able to answer your question - or maybe they could just turn it off for a few minutes! :)
Scoonie hobbies by any chance?
I'm not far away from you then, near Cupar. Welcome to the forum, I hope you get the bug good and proper!

Hi Ross,
I agree with you regarding free speech, but the internet is full of places for that. I visit this specific forum for news and discussion of multirotors. I certainly have the option of not reading off-topic discussion, and that's fine.
Regarding your politics I am claiming...
I vote for sticking to multirotors. Please can we keep politics out of this forum, especially wacky nonsense politics. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and that's mine.

Hi Andy,
I'm just a freelance photographer, specializing in cultural & heritage applications. Mikrokopter photography is such a fantastic technique to use on archaeological sites that I had to add the capability to my repertoire! I use a standard HexaXL, HiSight II, and an Olympus E-PL2...
Hi,
Thought I'd introduce myself by resurrecting this old thread. I'm based in Scotland, doing mostly archaeological work. Low level vertical aerial survey is where it's at...
Here are some examples of recent work:
And a flythrough of the 3D model I put together:
Hope you like them...
