NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Well, your lights combos look fine. But not being able to arm the motors until GPS fix is NOT NORMAL. Modes like atti don't even use gps for stabilization during flight so I see no reason why you can't arm the motors before a fix. All I can suggest is try reflashing or updating the firmware...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

No throttle No, throttle should always be at 0% until ready to take off while booting up. Also, you should definitely be able to activate the props within seconds of power on. Seems strange to me

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Hmm no, that doesn't sound normal. You should be able to "unlock" the props almost straight away, regardless of whether it has acquired a GPS signal (not recommended without). Do you mean to say you literally cannot start the props for about a minute after start-up?

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Yes of course you can!!! At the moment I have my main forward facing FPV at the front, the gopro on the gimbal (obviously) but also a third camera on the underneath looking down. I've got a 3-way switch on my transmitter that allows me to view any one of these using a 3-way video switch.

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Well I've got an F550 myself, I started off with nanotech 3S 6400mah lipos which were giving me just under 9 minutes flight times, I've just bought two nanotech 3S 8400mah which aren't much bigger than my smaller ones. They give me just under 12 minutes before I get a battery warning. Yea you...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

I'm afraid gains are strictly craft-specific. But honestly, don't be afraid to change them dramatically. Start of by changing the value by 20 or 30, so if it was 120 try 140. If that's too sloppy or skittish then go the other way. Once you start getting towards what feels right increase or...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Right... Regarding the stick inputs: You will see in the NAZA software there is a setting where if activated will not allow the props to stop, on the condition that all other sticks are not in the central position. If all other sticks are in central position and not moved and you then pull...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

A dedicated LiPo alarm/sensor will always be more accurate than the on-board sensor, but having said that I don't think it really needs to be that accurate. As long as it alerts you in plenty of time to get back that's all that matters, and if you're not really flying too far away or over-water...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Hi there, 10.8 is the norm and sounds about right for "under load", I would have upped the "no load" threshold to around 11.2, but these limits mainly depend on how much time you want to allow yourself to "bring the quad home". If you tend to fly the quad quite far away (1-1.5km) then I would...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Hi everyone, Glad that this thread has helped a few people :nevreness: I was going to try to make an alteration to my original post regarding the two sets of green flashes you get during startup, which I got the wrong way round. It is as follows: If (and only if!) you have IOC enabled on your...

DJI F550 Dual Lipos - What are my options?

Do you guys mount both lipos on top though? just worried that might make things a bit unstable. I trying to find side-mounts for lipos for the F550 but not getting very far.

DJI F550 Dual Lipos - What are my options?

If I hadn't bought three 3S 6000s then I'd probably take your advice, but at £40 a pop thats gonna take a bit of saving up. I'm still trying to get my head around why a higher voltage causes better performance. Also I thought the 4-cell Lipos were for crafts with larger props?

DJI F550 Dual Lipos - What are my options?

Hi guys, I've got an F550 (among others) which I find great for FPVing and general aerial filming as it's nice and stable, but I'm finding my flight times are ridiculously short, ~7 minutes on a steady flight. It's running off a NanoTech 3S 6000mAh(!) LiPo, which to be fair I wouldn't really...

NAZA Startup LED Meanings - Explained

Applies to Naza V2 only, other boards may vary. A lot of people have been confused by the dozens of LED combinations which appear when you start-up your Naza. Some of these are very vaguely explained in the manual, if at all. That's why I'm making this thread - to help people understand what...
