My wiring loom is the newest version, recently provided to me for free, straight from Photohigher. (Thank you Photohigher!) It did work temporarily before it stopped. I have checked all of the wire connections and everything looks good. If there is an issue with the loom, I'd suspect a bad...
They do share a common ground. The servo works fine at stabilizing the gimbal. It just doesn't respond to tilt input from my transmitter. The tilt input did work for a while, and then it quit. Roll input is working fine. It's not the rx, I've tried swapping it out for another. It's not the...
My cage has a little slop in it too, I'll give that a try.
Still no luck with my non-functional tilt input. Still hoping for a response from photohigher about my situation.
Yes, I have re-started the Skyline a bunch of times, no tilt response. I know the servo is working, and the receiver is working. Tilt settings back to default. I have no idea why the tilt wont respond.
Ok, forget what I said about the usb cable, it's working.
But now, my tilt function is not. I got into the servo tilt limits program, and reversed the values and saved them. When I powered up the skyline and tested the tilt function didn't work. So I went back and changed the 90 to -90 and...
Thanks a lot! I did try to search this thread for a relevant post, but didn't find one.
I was sort of starting on my own down the path that you just suggested. I tried switching the default 90 value to -90, but it didn't work. I'll try setting the value that says 90 to zero, and the one that...
Tilt input rotates my camera tray the wrong direction.
I hooked my tilt input up to a slider on my transmitter, and it is working fine, except the tray rotates the wrong direction. The camera rotates up instead of down.
(I have also noticed that when I auto tune my unit, the tray always...
That's not good news for me. I plan to do a lot of still photos, and will need to tilt the camera to frame my shots. I was planning to put the camera tilt on a slider. I haven't hooked it up or tried it yet.
Very nice! If my setup is that stable in the air, I'll be a happy customer.
Having watched quite a few aerial videos, I've noticed a few things. When watching forward flight, one feels a sense of speed and exhilaration. Panning (and I mean turning while horizontal, not moving laterally) will...
A note about my experiences setting up my Skyline:
At first I tried to setup my Skyline by removing the servo belt and roll gear, and attempted to adjust the servo centering manually. I got the servos to stop turning, but the tilt servo was reversed. After reversing the servo, I couldn't seem...
Av-130 with Skyline RSGS video test.
My camera focused on the box in the foreground when I turned the camera on. The result was slightly blurry video, but you can see that my Skyline appears to be working well!

Thanks Nicwilke. I do like the idea of powering the Skyline through the FC, mostly so that I'd have the option of feeding higher voltage to the servos. I played it safe, and fed the Skyline and the servos through the Castle BEC, using the Skyline pan servo lead as Photohigher-b reccomended. It's...
Thanks "b" ! I've been staring at my machine for days trying to decide what to do.
Nicwilke; In my case, my rx gets regulated power from the Naza, which gets its power from my PDB. The Naza essentially has it's own built in BEC, so I think another one might be redundant? I am not a wiz when it...
Another solution to my power issue has occured to me!
Could I feed the skyline with power from my receiver (which has 5v power coming from my Naza), and feed the servos with the 6v from my Castle BEC. I'd make a loom to feed power only (with no signal) to the two servos , and then send signal...
