First of they are not "drones" they are SUASs or small unmanned aerial systems, But for the rest of your post the largest limitation is battery energy density. This could easily be fixed with a lithium carbon battery but they are not out of lab testing.
Just remembered something you will need, some sort of power distribution cable or board.
(The cable is for a tricopter, one for a quad word have 8 connectors not 6.)

I understand why you would think that however, nothing beats programming right off the board and at the flying field. Wobbels are not is issue either just a bit of tuning his required.
