Oh wow, it looks like you're right that only the case has changed size and weight. They definitely didn't make that very clear, at least to my reading.

The 3+ still weighs less, so gimbals will at least require some balancing.

Very cool. Probably not a spot you're supposed to be flying, but if you've got the guts then we get to benefit form the nice footage! I live in the city and am annoyed at how far I have to go outside the city to find decent places to fly.
