iOSD issues, dark picture with OSD or no OSD, both with noise.

Hello,

I have a DJI s800 + Zenmuse + iOSD (MK-I) + DJI Video Downlink. I now installed the OSD with the DJI downlink, but I seem to do something wrong. There was a small adapter with the iOSD. When I do not use it I do NOT always get the OSD (almost never) on the display and the signal quality is very poor, the whole image shifts around... When I use the adapter I get the OSD but the video signal gets very dark (the OSD stays bright) and still has a lot of noise in it.

When I wire directly from the Zenmuse to the Video transmitter (with the supplied cable) the picture quality is nice.


Am I doing something wrong or is my unit broken?


I also contacted DJI on this, but did not get an answer.

I discovered same issue yesterday during one of my first test flying with osd; same configuration like yours, and tomorrow I will try to upgrade and see if it works and if something change.
If not, on Monday a visit is already scheduled to my friend's shop (he is one of DJI's distributor here) to check with some others OSD if this dark picture output remain the same.....

Someone others with the same issue that want/can share more info about this?
Did you see the last OSD manual released today (v2.0)? Last page talk about 2 diffrent types of AV channel adapter, one for general cameras and another one for Z15; could be a incompatibility that cause the darker picture here?

I think it is either broken or it has a faulty firmware on it. I´ve sent it back to my retailer for replacement. Maybe a firmware update can fix this.

Tried this morning a firmware update, from the original beta to the last 1.8 but nothing is changed.
I have to wait Monday when I try another one by my friend and see if mine is defected or not.

Solved the problem yesterday: if you use the adapter SA0, DISCONNECT IT!!!,
without is working perfectly, with all Osd text change the resolution and video is darker. i have tried other adapter from new unpacked Osd and the result is the same.
Very strange that on rev 2.0 of Osd manual Dji mention on the last page two different type of this adapter now: one for Z15 and another one for general cameras.....bah!
