Experience with BH insurance

I'm curious if anyone has first hand experience returning a damaged camera using the coverage they provide. It seems like BH has a great reputation for customer service but the insurance is 3rd party and anyone who has dealt with this before knows they do anything to not pay. I had insurance on my smart phone years back and they kept giving me damaged refurbished phones until I finally got one that worked. Just hoping it's not a waste of money to insure a camera.

I don't know that specific insurence, but I know these insurances in general very well.......on all insurances there is one paragrph which is crucial what you get in the end: it's either they replace the "time value" (which most insurances do, and which results in your mobile phone story)...or they compensate you with a new, equivalant product, where the insurance rates are normally more expensive. Whatever we insure, that's the first thing I look at in an insurance contract, and I refuse "time value".

Just hope you get it sorted out....
