Mikrokopter HOTT mx 20 strange telemetry reading after update to FC 0.88m

Hi,

I just updated my FC to 0.88m and Nc to 0.28m and noticed that the Graupner HOTT mx-20 is showing strange telemetry info. I mean the standard displays not the MK specific ones. Those are fine. Well look at these images...

Very strange, I upgraded my Quad XL with a MX 16 a few days ago and all is working as before. Have you recalibrated compass etc?

Yes, recalibrated the compass...but I just discovered that there is a new version for HOTT here which I am now trying to install. http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/Firmware-0.88#A0.88m_.26_0.28m_Update

Right I did all the updates FC, NC, Transmitter and receiver. Binded the RX and TX fine but still getting the RC signal lost error message. I guess it's because I can't set the sum signal to SUMO 12. I guess there is a glitch in the software which does not allow me to change it. I am pressing the SET button but don't get the cursor in to change the value.

When you update the tx you get some new menu's so from the telemetry screen where sumo is press left up arrow to see the new screens, the select ETC, you can now change the sumo. You must update the rx also.
hope this helps, not in front of my tx at the moment so this is from memory.

I figured that somehow and selected the ETC but still can't get the cursor to change the SUMO. See the video I made about it

Yes, sorry my connection was slow and I could not see the video but I have now, try setting to receiver instead of etc also did you upadate the receiver?

Hey,

I updated the receiver (twice) already. When selecting anything else from left hand menu than 'etc' the cursor won't even get down to the bottom line where the sumo is to be changed... so still no go :-(

ok panic over... I have updated the receiver with the wrong file naively I downloaded the receiver update from this link http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/HottUpdate where it shows link to an old file in the steps. Thanks for the help ;-)

That's great, yes I saw that the file on the Graupner site was newer so I used that. It certainly is not too easy.

Can you now select sumo 12 with this new receiver firmware?

yes I can select it so it all seems to work...except I don't know how to get to this new homescreen which displays it all nicely ???
