Confirm Settings are Correct

Hello everyone,
I am an experienced RC Heli & Fixed Wing pilot however a newbie to rotor craft. I purchased the stock Gaui 500X with the WoKong M guidance system and stock Gaui motors & ESC's. I am using a Spektrum DX-7 with the AR-7000 (DSM2) receiver. I connected the quad's MC to the DJI software on line and can make changes, but would love to hear from someone that can confirm specific settings per page. The motors run up and are spinning in the right direction. I tried a simple hoover however it pulled to the left and almost tipped over. When I throttle down three motors run slow and one stops. I unplugged all motors from the MC and tried to calibrate each seperate - I think I was sucessful but not 100% sure. The LED blinks three times red indicating no GPS signal which is cool indoors. The 3 position switch toggles between GPS / A and M but if I switch off the transmitter it does not go into fail safe. Is that a binding issue ? I could use some good advice from anyone that has a similar or better yet, the same set up. On a side note, is it really wise to cram the ESC into a metal tube with no venting? Seems like a recipe for disaster.
Thanks for your time guys - I will have fun one day right ??? hahahaha

I don't have the same setup as you, but some things to consider: 1. Do the ESC's you are using have a brake? If so, reprogram the esc that is connected to the motor that is stopping quickly so the brake is not enabled. 2. You want the ESC's mounted so they can can get airflow and cool so they do not overheat. 3. You still have to control your takeoff, with the WK if you throttle up very slowly, your takeoff will be a lot harder to control. Just give it some quick throttle to pop it off the ground and it will be even more stable airborne than when it's on the ground throttling up.

Hi everyone and thanks for the idea's - the ESC's I am using are the stock ones that come with the gaui 500X and I believe they are the 18 amp version. I am sure they have brakes and suspect something is not correct with the programming, which is extremily important. I have ordered a ESC card programmer from Hobby Partz to help program the ESC's so they are all equal in nature. According to the instructions, the ESC's are kept within the arm tube, which is metal. I suppose it would be possible to yank them out and mount them outside the arm via cable ties. Thanks for the advice on taking off - you are right and I will take a deep breath and give her more throttle.. Once my new blades arrive and I re-program her i will update you on my progress.. Thanks again everyone -
