I met that french guy with the microlight at the Shoreham airshow about 9 years ago. He just turned up without a display slot and stole the show.

Yeah he's that all right.. I did 6 hours on a shoot in North Cyprus in one of those things. Trouble with them is that as well as being highly unstable all of the controls are back to front for a real pilot. even the rudder pedals (nose wheel) are reversed. Two up they glide like a bar of gold. However it was the cheapest flying bill I have ever had. Pictures were great! Next best thing to a Drone for low level work.

What quad copter equipment?

Hi Folks,

I saw part of the first episode of Earthflight when it started, then saw today's airing of Episode 6, featuring behind the scenes footage, including the use of the quad copter or "RC Drone" as commented by the production company. If you haven't already seen this episode, I recommend you watch on iPlayer immediately!

I am looking into possibly venturing into the multi rotor flight scene, I currently fly RC Helicopter, pod and boom. Does anyone know what equipment they were using for this? I have actually emailed them directly, but may not get a response!

Regards, Martin

Nice quadcopter on earth flight filming the flamingo flocks. Looks like a photo higher gimbal, but not sure on the make of the quad.

The Quad is a Droidworx ADX-4HLE with Photohigher AV200 gimble and looks like running Mikrokopter Electrics , Very nice Job on a great project whoever the lucky pilot was.
