Rotors in reverse

Noob here:shame:, just getting into this modelling thing and it's fascinating.

Build~:- X650 Frame; AKE12A ESC's; DJI Wookong; HiTec Optima 7; with 4No Xaircraft Motors.

The model has been built to the Xaircraft X650 manual, for all the good it was. I have checked all connections and configs but the rotors are going in reverse. Changing the propeller blades results in very unstable flight, I am certain that it must be something daft that I have missed.

Not got it off the ground yet, I would like to and if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

When they flip over this generally means you have a motor connected to the wrong motor port , On WKM Quad X config , Motor 1 is 1 oclock , M2 is 11oclock , M3 is 7 oclock, M4 is 5 oclock I think this is the same as Xaircraft anyway , But I would double check you have motors into right connections and also check on assistant software in the TX Cali menu that everything is doing as it should , ie throttle goes from left to right , Aileron goes from centre to right when you push right , Elevator goes from centre upwards when you push up .. And rudder moves from centre to right when you push right , You can click reverse on the menu if any channel is not going the correct way.

Also make sure your 3 modes of flight are lighting up , Manual , Atti , Gps these should all go blue when selected and fly in atti mode unless you really want to do stunt flying in manual.

Hope you get it sorted , I don't think you got it from me but feel free to give me a call any day after boxing day if your still having problems.

Can you show use some fotos of the build ? Are you sure that your mounting data in the config for imu orientation is correct ? Motor spinning direction is 100% correct now and props are on the right way. Take a foto copter top back view so we can see it all.

Thanks Chaps

I reversed the rotors as response No1. the IMU was 90 degrees out and after this was corrected my first test flight went pretty bloody well.

Quote of the day - at my next door neighbour's front door - "This might seem like a daft question but can I have my helicopter back from your back garden please?":shame:

Thanks Chaps
