My first quad !

Hi everyone !
I recently started to be interested in multicopters and RC flight in general, so I've done my fair share of research, visited quite a few multicopter websites and watched many videos on the subject, and I think I came up with a good plan for building my first quadcopter. I would really appreciate it if you could point out what' wrong/right about the parts I want to order, and if you think they would all work together fine.

For the frame, I would have liked to build it from scratch, but I don't really have a shop in my house or the proper tools, so I'm going to order this one :

I got those motors :

With those props :

For the battery : 5000 mAh, 4s

For the speed controllers : 18A

The transmitter : Turingy 9x , 9 channels :

To get started in FPV/aerial photography:

Then of course a PCB for the power distribution, and I was also thinking about adding an LED on it.

As for the flight controller, I'm still trying to figure out wich one's the best for the money... Any idea ?

So, what do you think, is any of this overkill/underkill, or is any of it just not appropriate ?

Thanks a lot in advance, i greatly appreciate any help ! :)

PS: I didn't have the time to write an intro post yet, because I'm in the middle of my finals ( I should be studying rather than typing this message :p), but I'll do it as soon as I find the time !

Mr take no prisoners!
I would not be recommending very much on that list.

Have a look at the Group Build thread for some good info. http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?14280-Group-Build-DJI-NAZA-F450-Quadcopter!

If you want a well performing, easy to setup quad then a basic DJI450 frame or copy and SunnySky 2212 980 motors with GemFan 9x4.7 props with Afro 30A ESC's and a Taranis radio and a couple of cheapy 3000mH 4S packs will be a good place to start. A KK2.1 at $30 is also a good cheap alternative if you don't want to spend up on a Naza.

Thanks a lot Pete ! I'll be looking into that when finals are over ! :)

Those motors seem to be a little more expensive though. Do you think I would have enough lift with four of the cheap Turnigy motors, or do you know any brand that makes better motors for about the same price ( about 12 euros or 16 dollars) ?

EDIT : Used this motor calculator : http://www.ecalc.ch/xcoptercalc.php?ecalc&lang=en which tell me I would have to use 78% throttle on the motor just to hover. That's way too much, right ? ( I used a weight of 1.5 kg to be safe, and changed esc to 30A( like those : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__33945__Turnigy_30A_BRUSHED_ESC_EU_warehouse_.html )
