Battery Straps

Is it ok to use 3M Dual Lock Velcro straps for battery hold down when mounting battery on bottom of Quad? Or should I use the battery straps with buckle?

I use 2 small strips of dual lock for battery hold, and it works fine. Don't use too much, or you'll have a hard time detaching the battery.
However, if you have a hard landing, the battery might pop loose; which could be a good thing as that helps dissipate the energy of the impact.

Dual Lock works well to stop the battery slipping but always use straps also...

I first wrap my batteries with clear duct tape or wrapping tape to protect the original wrapping and to keep the dual lock adhesive tape from pulling off from all those stickies that they put on the original battery wrapping tape. In addition to the use of a battery strap.
