Interesting. There seems to be some concern that the sponsors providing the prize money, who are an investment company, will eventually profit from this contest by using (read stealing) the ideas created by the entrants. You do have to wonder why an investment company would be willing to put up the prize money.

Then again, it is $10K and that buys a lot of lipo batteries!

i saw that comment too. they did explain that the sponsor made no claim to the winning ideas so it would be up to the entrant to work out way to protect their intellectual property
