Wanted to come and say hello, I live in NW Tennessee. Been flying Planes and Helicopters for a while so thought I would try Quads. Have a DJI F550 ordered and will be here tomorrow. Can't wait to get it and get started on the build.

I to just joined, sounds like your out the blocks and already got your build on its way, Ive been looking at the same frame as well, but just cant decide on what ill try as my first build.

I know where your coming from Allen, I only discovered this forum the other day, and its seems to me the DJI have a huge following, I was thinking of getting something a little more versatile for my end use, but after reading the product review for DJI & also reading a lot of threads of people asking what to get for the first multirotor its seems its a lot more realistic to start with a product like the DJI to learn from, and after I have become more confident with my ability & understanding of how things work I will look at something for the purpose I wanted to get into the multirotors & just keep the DJI for flying around for fun.

Same here SM, been looking for weeks and just found more folks here to help with the DJI. I did the same thing when I started building helicopters. I knew if I was going to fly them I would be crashing them. So the best way to learn how to work on them is just sit down and build. Going to do the same with the new F550. It is on the UPS truck and will be here today - Cant wait to get stated on it

Sounds good Allen, cant wait until I start putting mine together, going to visit a RC club down south tomorrow & hopefully see some different type of multirotors zipping around
