All iPads have GPS.... I think you mean cellular connection. Bluetooth is what A2 uses to connect to the iPad and bluetooth is standard on all iPads.

Nope. Only the cellular iPads have GPS. Wifi iPads don't have it and can only use wifi hotspot triangulation.

My non celluar iPad can find it's location through the map program and find my iPad function. Not sure what the difference is this GPS function that only the cellular version has.
It is calculating it from visible hotspots. Go out in to the middle of nowhere and try it.

i got my iPad today, not a cellular. it run well for thé GS.The GPS is not necessary.

I just get an A2 and now I want to buy an IPAD AIR.
Is it necessary to buy the Ipad air with GPS include (mod: cellular) or the Ipad Air without gps ?
I think the GPS is not necessary.

I tune my a2 via my wifi air w/o issue.

on my side I see with the assistant DJI all parameters of my A2 on my Ipad air in BT.
The ipad is self connected to the A2. Nothing to do.
I hâve not checked the GS with the datalink.
