This is a genuine question but before anyone points the finger, I'm in the process of obtaining my BNUC-S and so will certainly be certified myself soon ish.
Do we know of anyone who has actually been fined by the CAA in the UK for flying without permission? What is the ultimate penalty for doing so? Prison? Big fine?
To me, it just seems like the CAA are saying "Don't do this or there will be consequences" but I've not seen any posts on any forums saying "OMG, I'm being fined by the CAA" or words to that effect.
Thoughts?
