I grew up just north of Boston years ago before joining USAF. I get back every now and then!
TONS of great information here on the site and some awesome folks as well! Post up a few questions on what you want to do and I am positive folks will chime in with great info!
I am just learning MR flight. I have a Nano QX that I have been practicing on and have a sim that I use for orientation (albeit helicopter stuff so it is a bit tougher).
I will be building my own Quad here in the next month or two.

Welcome Jason, I'm in Saugus, just north of Boston and I've been flying my DJI F550 for about 14 months. I've amassed a ton of aerial photos made from it using a GoPro.

Because they were shot with a GoPro and no gimbal most needed lots of fix-ups in Photoshop.

hi guys, I have decided to dive head first into RC multirotors with an f550. I am going to get a NEX 5n into the air this summer. My ultimate goal is to find a waterproof hex (found a guy in Thailand) and shoot vid/photo of ocean/sail/boats
Any meetups for flying? any advice for good spots in the area? I just ordered mine so hope to be up in the air in a month maybe.

Welcome Jason, Detholm, and good to hear from you Mike- long time no see.
I have been off the "air" so to speak due to aging family challenges which are resolving; but I have also been +1000 miles from all things materially RC :hororr::dejection::hororr:. The only flying I can currently do is vicariously through the members here and at RCG so all of you get off your lazy arses and get airborne.:highly_amused:
