naza m v1 coaxial x8... in mind and i'll try

hi all
i'm going to put toghether all the ideas i have in my mind, as write on my presentation tread i'm sorry for my bad english but hope is not so difficult to understand me ;-)

my goals:
have a stable and not so big platform to use my lumix tz40 for AP and video, i've just make a gimbal for it and the weight is 800grams complete of camera and fpv gear.

what i'm going to do
i have just self made a quad chassis with mt 4008-12 but only four motors and 2 lipo4s 4000 mha don't leave me peace to can lift the gimbal, so i have on the way:
8 tiger motors mt 2814-10 770kw
8 dji 30a esc opto
some apc sf 12x3.8 prop

i will like to use my naza mv1 upgraded with latest firmware and as i have read i'm able to use it for a 8x coaxial built , all upper prop ccw all down prop cw
and connect 7-8 motors to the f1 and f2 output of the fc

i have done a try with e-calc and it say that i can fly with a 4kg octo, someone have done my same built? any experience (positive hope) with my setup?
any suggestion will be more than appreciated...

someone can confirm me that naza m v1 with latest firmware can be used with a coaxial X8 quad?

Yes it can, they call it an OctoRotorX.

And I hope that those Tiger motors are not 770kw, going to be short flights.

nah, its the fact you said they were good for 770 Kw :highly_amused: (that a tad over 1000 horse power)

ok, looking at the specs, those motors each do 1800 grams of thrust (i would go with the 11 by 4.7, better efficiency, cooler running)

so 8 motors, = 11.5 kg of thrust (including a 20% loss as a coaxial setup)

1/3 of 11.5kg = about 4kg, which is a safe flying weight.

power consumption will be about 650 watts of power, on 4S thats 44 amps

those lipo's 4S 8000 mah (8 ah) will last 7.6 minutes (with 30 percent capacity left over)

so yes, you are good to go, as long as your all up weight is around 4kg

those motors would be a bit happier running a smaller prop,

hope it works , as i can make some photo of the built progress i'll post , also i have to try some xoar 12x4 prop ; as i read (hope well) they can give more stability and clean flight.
what i need is only to lift-shot-land machine at this moment.
