compass calibration

hey there!

my first post - yeahhh!!! i hope you can help me...

has anyone of you experienced the following problem: ?? when i try to calibrate the compass of my wookong i enter the calibration mode. blue light on but before i can pick up the multi for doing the 360° rotation the blue light changes (after about 3 seconds) into the white light (flashes for about 3 seconds) which means calibration succesfull. the first time (half a year ago) i was able to do the calibration correctly, since then i didn't have to do it again but now i did a rebuild and i want to recalibrate the compass. i allready did some testfilghts - no problems so far but its a little weird knowing that there is something weird...

thanks for your help

When your in calibration mode (Blue) how long before it switches back to white? Have you gone through stick calibration on the WKM? The WKM may be picking up a single and causing it to come out of calibration. If your TX has a channel monitor I would check that to make sure your TX is sending and extra singles.

Also, make sure you don't have things like phones in your pocket or anything else that can interfere with the compass.

I first calibrated compass in mid of may 2013 and everything went fine as per the manual ...today I did a version update from 5.20 to 5.24 DJI WKM and I was not able to calibrate the compass (blue light glows...I am able to horizontal calibration followed by green....when I do vertical calibration after 360 degree rotation I get blinking Red..which signifies a calibration error) and i also noticed green blinks on atti mode and I found that these blinks signify IMU data loss.

I suspected the version upgrade and I reverted back to 5.20 and there were no green blinks. I continued with the calibration but Compass fails to calibrate. The calibration was done on interference free open zone where we previously calibrated the same DJI WKM successfully.

What should I do now?

Cheers
