S800 vibration kit

Easy? You call that easy?
It's improved my S800. Especially the Zenmuse footage in high wind. I flew from a mountain last week in >20mph wind and you can't even tell on the video. It's annoying having the IMU outside the frame though. Doesn't look as nice! For the price it's definitely worth it!

Cool, I am just in the middle of rebuilding my S800, I have the kit but just wanted some feedback, music to my ears. Do you use dji video link? Could you post a few pics of your setup please.

Thanks Nigel

Hi Benjamin,

where do you connect the IMU? directly to MC ? my IMU cable can not reach the MC location do you thing I can cannect it to any CAN-Bus interface?

I believe you can use any CAN. The IMU cable is pretty long, are you sure it won't fit? I plug it into the main controller which is near the front of the frame (internally). I have my IMU vibe plate out front by the Zenmuse. Didn't fancy putting my lipos too far back as recommended as it ruins the COG having things too far from the central axis.

Guys, have a look at this thread: http://www.multirotorforums.com/sho...lean-build-tips-and-info&highlight=s800+clean

The IMU doesn't have to be mounted to the rear (like DJI is suggesting)....you can also mount it to the front of the copter. IMPORTANT: Because the IMU facing "backwards" when mounted to the front, you have to set that in the Assistant software.

CAN-Bus cables can be connected to any Can-Bus port, as long as the plug is matching the terminal....there is two types of Can-Bus plugs !

Thank you for answering my question and for the comments on the IMU configuration I agree totally please be careful to update the orientation correctly I had a crash taking off and after much CSI like investigation on my crash it turned out that when I updated the position with the new tray measurements I unwilintlly but most important unknowingly set the orientation left when should be forward here the results

I think that was the cause and opened a new thread to see if there are people that are sure about my probable cause.

this video was taken the week before without the antivibration kit https://vimeo.com/70259016
