Mode comparisons - other makes comp to Naza M

Ok... a bit of a noob question from a multi semi-veteran! I fly Hoverfly, Multiwii, KK, CC...

I have been reading the Naza M V2 instructions and little comparison and clarification would be nice ;)

I am used to Hoverfly where manual-mode is exactly that - no altitude hold unless requested and the auto-level is again just auto-level/stabilized with added altitude-hold when switched-in.
With a Naza with manual / Atti / Atti-gps...

Manual is exactly that - no altitude hold (unless... is there a way to enable it in maunal).
Atti - attitude mode, so I suspect that is auto-level without altitude hold
Atti-gps - is this auto-level with altitude and position hold? Is position-hold available with and without altitude hold?

I'll read the manual again... the more I read about the failsafe-flyhome etc, the more start to understand why some people loose their copters...

Thanks

Most simply:

Attitude GPS mode - levelling with position and altitude hold
Attitude mode - levelling and altitude hold
Manual mode - neither levelling nor position or altitude hold

There are a few subtleties, like GPS mode will act like Attitude mode if you don't have good enough GPS signal reception, GPS and Atti mode will limit angular velocity, etc. etc. but the above covers it really.
