APC Props.......... any colour as long as its Grey ?

Is it only me or do any of you dislike Grey coloured props?

What about the idea of painting APC props, Matt Black ? Of course it may effect the balance somewhat but this can be rectified. Are there any other pitfalls to doing this ?

I don't like the grey color either. But I wouldn't do that since it may cause balance problem.

I believe APC props are nylon, in which case you can dye them with home clothing dye - taking them from grey to black shouldn't be difficult.

I will try it on some well used props for a start and see how it works out.........

i sprayed two of mine (for orientation) with fluro red paint, as long as you dont lay it on thick, i dont see a problem

Have sprayed two of them Matt Black and have to say they look great. No apparent weight gain but have to check out the balance aspect yet.

Mat has me thinking about best colours for orientation............ Might even try out Jeremy's suggestion of Home Dye also ?
