Just getting into Multirotors, and recently bought a DJI Phantom. I'm also interested in building my own quads, so trying to learn as much as I can. I've only got a few minutes in the air with the Phantom, taking it real slow. To learn how to fly, I'm using a WL Toys v212. This is a great little quad, and excellent to learn on. Better to put this in a tree than the Phantom. Anyway, great to be here and looking forward to reading everyone's posts. Just spending part of the day here has been a big help.
